"Echoes of the Past" The Avengers find themselves lured into an ambush by someone claiming to be a long dead Avenger and his mysterious lover. The two escape and return to their master, Proctor, leaving the Avengers with nothing about questions about what they face on the horizon. Meanwhile, an alien starship appears in the solar system, straining Earth's sun with the use of a nearby stargate.
